Welcome to INDIA(S)!

Bonjour! I was born in 1992 in France. I am a PhD student in Energy Policies at Xiamen University. These photos were taken during my one year studies in India in 2013-2014. During that time, I also explored India huge complexity and rich diversity. This gigantic puzzle of states is a mosaic of landscapes, cultures, religions, languages, and faces which borders cannot split.

The contrasts are omnipresent, between tradition and modernity, rural and urban, opulence and poverty. I wish you to experience my feelings with photography universal language. I prefer to lightly edit my photos to preserve the magic of coincidence and beauty of imperfection. My favorite photos are portraits but it is rare to have the opportunity of taking good portrait, I have to be patient and trust my luck!
